The Atlas Copco Group UK project was about a transformative approach to workplace design, prioritsing people and humanising the workplace experience. As a CAT A & B BREEAM accredited fit-out, the 55,000 sq ft space was stripped to its core, and striking new glass entrance installed to set the tone for a space designed with purpose. The design guides visitors through a seamless journey from the reception to dynamic breakout areas and collaborative first-floor meeting suites, allowing the entire office space to embrace activity-based working for diverse working styles, while a central hub fosters interaction and unity among different business units. The industrial feel, reminiscent of the companyu0092s Scandinavian roots, also adds depth and character to the space.
A raised courtyard within not only provides access to plenty of natural light but maximises functionality by giving 40% more workshop space on the ground floor. By re-imagining the building holistically under the three main factors – staff, clients, and visitors – the project creates an environment where productivity, creativity and connection thrive, reflecting the values of the Atlas Copco Group. Harmonising sustainability, efficiency, and aesthetic appeal, Habit Action also adopted a circular approach, meticulously reclaiming and repurposing materials including the staircase and raised access floor.
